CompuScope SDK for C/C# for Windows

VERSION 5.06.20
*****************************************************

The CompuScope SDK for C/C# for Windows includes
complete manuals in PDF form and several sample
programs that illustrate control and operation of
Compuscope hardware in several operating modes. The
SDK is all that is required to completely operate
CompuSCope hardware from the C and C# environments.

In additon, C# sample programs have been provided for
the .NET environment. A few VB.NET samples have also
been provided for the .NET environment.

Please refer to the CompuScope SDK for C/C# user's
guide for the requirements for using this SDK and
descriptions of the sample programs.

-----------------------------------------------------
ENHANCEMENTS
-----------------------------------------------------

* License Keys are no longer required when installing
  CompuScope SDK.
* Minor updates for the samples GageStream2Disk and
  GageMulrecFastTransfer.
* Updates for Gage CompuScope API Rererence.

-----------------------------------------------------
KNOWN BUGS
-----------------------------------------------------

* GageStream2Analysis does not work with CompuScope
EON Express. The result of analysis is wrong.

* With the INI files that have big segment size
  (~256 MS), the Stream2AnalysisSimple and
Stream2Analysis sample may return bad results.

* The C events and callback samples crash when they
are aborted while the transfer is occurring.

* GageFastAcquire2Disk captures will not display
correctly in GageScope if the capture is larger
than the GageScope buffer size and has pre-
trigger data. Pretrigger data will not be
aligned correctly if the "align by trigger
  address" is used.

* The time stamp in the header of the Sig file
  captured with GageFastAcquire2Disk will all
have the same value for all captures of a MulRec
set. This is not the case for Single Record Mode.

* The MultipleIndependent sample will coerce
channel settings without returning the new values
  to the user.

* C# and VB samples used with an Oscar CompuScope
and pre-trigger data will have a one sample drop
  at the end.

* The C MultipleRecord sample used with a Razor
  and acquiring pre-trigger data without
transfering it all will have a one sample drop
  at the end.

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN INSTALLING THE COMPUSCOPE
SDK FOR C/C# FOR WINDOWS
-----------------------------------------------------

1) The CompuScope Windows Drivers must be installed
FIRST in order for the Sample Programs to operate
properly. See the Driver Installation section
of the Startup Guide for instructions on
installing the CompuScope Windows Drivers and the
CompuScope SDK for C/C# for Windows. To use the
Advanced samples, you must have CompuScope Windows
   Drivers 5.xx.xx or above.

2) The installation will fail if the installer is not
an Administrator. This is a requirement to
   register the GageFunctions DLL.

3) Please note that you will be asked to enter a
software key during the SDK installation process.
This software key is provided upon purchase of the
   SDK.

4) We recommend that you use the default installation
directory; however, you will be prompted to change
   it if you wish.

See your CompuScope SDK for C/C# User's Guide for
more details on using the CompuScope SDK for C/C#.
